All good things come from God. Many times I see Him in the good people around me. Today I saw Him in the kindness of a young woman in a veterinary office.
In Elder Gary E. Stevenson's talk during the April 2021 general conference, he spoke about the love and care a young research scientist showed toward the rabbits who were under her stewardship. "She was an unusually kind and caring individual. When she fed the rabbits, she talked to them, cuddled and petted them....she just couldn't help it. It's just how she was."
I have been taking my dogs to the Farmington Veterinary Clinic for a couple years now. Everyone at the clinic is very helpful and friendly, but every time I go to there with my dogs, I notice a particular young woman who works there. Today, I found out her name is Michala. She radiates goodness. I see God in her. He's in her smile and her countenance and the compassionate way she treats animals. She talks to them, cuddles them and pets them...she just can't help it. It's just how she is.
Today I was able to tell her that I've noticed how kind she is to animals, that she is a beautiful young woman - inside and out - and that I see God in her. I believe we should take the opportunity more often to see not only the goodness in people, but their godness, or in other words, their Christ-like attributes. How have you seen God today? Or, who have you seen God in today? Now go one step further and let them know.
