This happened to me about 25 years ago. I was 33 years old at the time of this miracle. I was in my car, stopped at a red light, on an incline, with my blinker on, ready to turn left. I was driving a sports car with a manual transmission. The light turned green, so I took my foot off the brake and put it on the gas pedal as I released the clutch. The car wouldn't move, and I could not figure out what was wrong. I tried again and again to push my foot down on the gas pedal, but nothing. I even tried leaning forward in the seat thinking that this would help move my foot forward, but nothing. Instead, I felt this force holding me back into the seat, and I was actually straining against this force to try to push the gas pedal. But I could not move. I couldn't even move my head. I could only look forward. I couldn't move, my car wouldn't go forward, yet it wasn't rolling backwards either. It was if time had stopped; everything was frozen in place for a few seconds.
Then suddenly, my body was released from this force holding me in place, and I was able to push my foot down on the gas pedal. I just started to enter into the intersection and WHAM! The front of my car was grazed by a speeding car going through the intersection. The only damage to the car was the front license plate that had been ripped off. The guy driving the other vehicle had run the red light, and was going so fast through the intersection that it took him quite a distance past the intersection before he was able to stop his vehicle. If I had pulled out when the light turned green, this speeding car would have hit me on the driver's side and, at the very least, causing me serious injury, but more likely my death.
I knew something had happened to me, but I couldn't explain it, and I didn't share the experience with anyone for a very long time. It wasn't until many years later that I realized what I had experienced that day was divine intervention. I believe that God sent me an angel that day who saved my life. It obviously wasn't my time to go.
